New Direction For Gillock Gallery

Evanston, Illinois, November 14, 2005 - Gillock Gallery announces its new Evanston location at 1402 1/2 Greenleaf Street. The new space, just two blocks north of Main Street and two blocks west of Ridge Avenue, is an exciting new step for this mainstay of the Evanston art community.

To inaugurate its new location, Gillock Gallery will present a group show of new works on December 9^th, 2005. The show will feature artworks by Matt Ballou, Mike Ellis, Franco Fusari, David Gracie, Curt Frankenstein, Marion Kryczka, Norbert Marszalek, and Christopher Schneberger, and will begin with a reception from 6:00pm until 9:00pm on December 9^th. As usual, the evening will feature live music.

Gillock Gallery has been actively showing emerging and established Midwest talent since 2002. With an eclectic mix of 2D media including painting, photography, and printmaking, the gallery has created a special atmosphere that lead to its being named one of Chicagoland’s Best of Visual Art in 2004 from the Chicago Artist News.
