There were many Locus works - over 100 pieces. Some were
as small as 8 by 10 inches, others were up to 5 by 6 feet. the series was
colorful, sharp, made with a great variety of materials and based
primarily in abstracting from local landscape scenes. The works, which
began as highly derivative musings on Diebenkorn's project, eventually
became much more specific and distilled to my own ideas about formal
elements of the Midwestern landscape.
