Gillock Gallery is an artist-friendly space created in 2001 to serve the North Shore of the Chicago area. Formerly located in a Victorian era estate, the gallery is currently based at 531 Grove Street, Suite 3D in Evanston, IL (All of coming shows will be taking place offsite. See show announcements for more information).

It's come a long way from the house gallery it was in the beginning, having held exhibitions in a number of locations in the Chicago area. Now, in 2010, with participation in art fairs, frequent shows and receptions, and artist talks, Gillock Gallery is steadily increasing its dynamic presence.

Gillock Gallery has always attempted to advocate for young artists by showcasing and promoting their developing work. From traditional representational painting to mixed media works and photography, the gallery continues to mount quality shows. In addition, Gillock has tried to draw new viewers into the Chicago art community without a hard, sales-driven approach. By providing alternative presentations of artworks, facilitating discussion, and building community among artists and viewers, Gillock strives to heighten the profiles of its artists in the Chicago metro area and beyond.

Gillock Gallery was named "Best Alternative Exhibition Space for 2004" by the Chicago Artist Coalition! Click here to read the CAC's article about Gillock Gallery.
